The Shadows We Cast - Dexter O'Reilly

Dexter, Boy Genius (referred to as such even as an adult), as he appears in the Shadowverse. Born in Huber, California, he showed a truly brilliant intellect from a very young age. Catching the attention of the World Science Council, he was provided with a facility and tech with which to work. Guided by a stronger moral center than his canon counterpart, young Dexter chose to use his gifts for the good of all mankind.

Taking up the alter ego of Wonderkid to protect his family from the retaliation of his enemies, he fought a wide range of bizarre villains, from the fur-obsessed alien Peltra, Comrade Red (an evil Commie counterpart of the Major Glory native to the Shadowverse), at least one interdimensional monstrosity, Omnibot (a creation of Dexter that went rogue, similar to Ultron in the Marvelverse), the fearsome intergalactic pugilist Wrasslor, and most deadly of all, the maniacal yang to Dexter's yin, evil genius Dimitri Astronomonov, alias Mastermind.
